7 000 000 bare feet!

Did you know,

according to the online social development network WeCanChange, around

seven million South African school children do not own school shoes?

That means, come rain or shine, summer or winter, they have to walk to school barefoot.
You can imagine the impact this has on their ability to focus and learn which, naturally, has critical implications for their future endeavours. Indeed, many children are forced to drop out of school during the winter months, when it becomes too cold for them to walk barefoot.

That’s why Steyn City, which has in the past urged community members to #PledgeABag Bag as part of its annual its Delivering Happiness to Diepsloot (DHTD), has shifted focus:

to celebrate the initiative’s seventh anniversary, it is aiming to distribute

13 000 PAIRS

to the primary schoolchildren of Diepsloot

Let’s bring on the happy feet!
By simply pledging from R140, we’ll personally hand deliver your pair of shoes to a child in need this festive season.
